Find out how your parish can support the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal.
Following the escalation of conflict in the Middle East, hundreds of thousands of families are facing unimaginable hardship.
In Lebanon, more than 100,000 people have fled their homes, with many others killed or injured as strikes hit the south, the Bekaa and Beirut. Thanks to your steadfast support, we have already sent £150,000 to our trusted partners in Lebanon, including Caritas Lebanon, who are providing urgent aid to families in crisis.
Our colleague Fadi in Lebanon said: "With your support, we are providing life-saving food, essential items like blankets and mattresses, safe water and shelter to families caught up in the conflict. We are here because no one should have to face violence alone."
With needs growing every day, your donation can help deliver practical help to our neighbours.
In the occupied Palestinian territory, the conflict between the United States, Israel, and Iran, which began on 28 February, has had an immediate and significant impact on the humanitarian situation in the area.
Elizabeth Funnell, CAFOD’s Middle East Programme representative, provided this update on 16 March: “Increased Israeli restrictions on the entry of people and goods in to Gaza since the start of the war have caused severe shortages of basic essentials. CAFOD’s partners are continuing their work to provide healthcare, run community kitchens and provide mental health support but their work is hindered by a lack of fuel. In the West Bank, settler violence has spiralled and people are terrified. Our partner Caritas Jerusalem told us of how they ran twice today to find shelter from a missile attack - afterwards they sent a message: These moments are tense, sudden, and very real. We are still here, We are safe together. And we are back at work.”
CAFOD’s partners continue to respond to the ongoing crises and the situation on the ground is still unimaginably difficult – your donation will mean support can get to our neighbours who need it.
I make a heartfelt appeal to all the parties involved to assume the moral responsibility of halting the spiral of violence before it becomes an unbridgeable chasm

Please help today
Our partners are working in near-impossible conditions - many of our partners' staff have been displaced themselves. In the face of these challenges, they are continuing to deliver the aid that people urgently need - but they cannot meet that need alone.
Please donate now to the Middle East Humanitarian Appeal and help families survive this crisis with food, water, shelter and care.
How will my donation help?
Millions across the Middle East have fled their homes in search of safety. They urgently need shelter, food and basic supplies.
