Support Lent Family Fast Day in your parish

Lent Family Fast Day is on Friday 14 March.

Lokho lives in the Marsabit region of Kenya. When her animals died in a drought, she could not feed her family. So Lokho reached out to local expert Wakera, a CAFOD partner.

Wakera shared his skills for growing food in harsh climates. He provided Lokho with seeds, tools and shade nets to protect her plants from the scorching sun, while still allowing every drop of precious rain through.

By selling the produce she grows, Lokho is saving for when there are no more rainy days. She’s gained resilience and hope, knowing she can feed her family.

Your parish's support this Lent will help mums like Lokho to grow food in harsh climates, building safety nets for their families.
